Our activities in Sicily

We provide a wide range of activities.
Discover the posibilities below!

Sicilia+Outlet+Village.jpg

Outlet shopping with Guiseppe

Giuseppe and his brothers are our drivers while we are in Palermo. They take us anywhere we want to go to. In the Sicilia Outlet Village you can shop till you drop. Gucci, Prada, Versace, Armani, Dolce&Gabana, are just a few to mention of the famous Italian designers. Otherwise Jimmy Choo will make your (fashion)heart beat faster. This program is variable. Giuseppe though has the instruction only to speak Italian to our language ladies. He is a “fashion lover” himself, which is not that common here like it is in Milan.

Cocktail workshop with Giulia

Giulia has a gift. She can look at anyone and then make the most delicious cocktail. Mixing – often secret – ingredients for that person. We will learn to make our own very special cocktail with her. Her grandmothers name was Rosalie.

Fables & facts. Hollywood versus Sicily

Movie night with Giorgia: The Godfather in Italian and a very interesting lesson about the fables and the facts in the film.

What we often can’t find the words for, we’ll express by painting and for everything in between, we’ll use Italian to communicate with each other.

Street food tour with Marco

Sicily is the street food capital of Europe, so it makes sense that we would of course sample the best of what is on offer in the island’s most thriving cities of Palermo and Catania. Marco, our charismatic guide will take us through the markets and initiate us in the art of true Sicilian cibo (food!) Tasty food with a tasty guide, as an accompaniment.

Making caciocavallo cheese with Pina

Learn how traditional Italian cheese is made and get hands on in a real countryside setting surrounded by cows, cats and dogs in a rural country cottage. Using all the power a wooden spoon and our newly acquired language can harness, we’ll make cheese with Pina and then of course, sample it.

En route, we’ll undoubtedly bump into people Mario knows - he’s the man about town in Catania.

Hiking at mount Etna

No trip to Catania would be complete without tackling the mighty summit of Etna. We won’t make it to the top in just one afternoon but we’ll spend a good couple of hours out in nature, hiking the volcano and chatting volcanic stories and histories in Italian.

Wine tasting

We at LaLaLupa are big fans of a good glass of wine and the Sicilian stuff is no exception. In this activity, we’ll head close to Etna with Francesco at his Gambino wine estate and towards the west coast with Nicola & Guido at Elios Sicily in order to sample some fine wines with exemplary pairings.
